Hello,
I'm new to gtg.com and i'm having some trouble. A Few weeks ago i found that i had these 2 viruses on my system and found some sites w/ advice on what i should do. I have had them disabled in the Msconfig for the last 2 weeks and tried to run a scan in Safe mode and delete them, but they found their way back i guess due to the registry entries they had made. I am not able to view the registry editor, nor the System32 folder. Recently my system has become incredibly slow and almost always is using 100% of the cpu. I started w/ the cleanup utility and went down the list in the suggest order on your homepage. Prior to this scan i enabled all items in Msconfig as suggested. Any help would be much appreciated. Hello Bdawg8569, Welcome to Geeks to Go! I'm Kristy and I will be helping you.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

*Click Here to download Killbox by Option^Explicit.
*Extract the program to your desktop and double-click on its folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to start the program.
*In the killbox program, select the Delete on Reboot option.
*Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

After the reboot run HijackThis again. Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).

Now go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, and remove the following(if found):

GamingclubMPP
PartyPoker

Exit Add/Remove Programs.

Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files/folders in bold (if found):

Empty your recycle bin, and reboot normally.

Well the system is still maxing out cpu usage periodically. I can't tell what causes it, but once it happens, cpu usage stays at 100% even w/ no applications running. Rebooting usually kicks it back to normal until its triggered again. The computer is a Dell laptop w/ a 3.19 gig processor and a gig of RAM so i'm not sure what the problem is. My system32 folder is still gone from the p2pnetwork or msconfigs virus, but as i said, once the cpu usage goes up to 100, its as good as useless. I did what you suggested, however, i use party poker everyday, and never have had a problem, so i will have to reinstall that shortly. For now i got rid of it, and here is the new post. I suspect i shall have to reinstall windows if the cpu usuage doesn't get back to normal, but let me know what you think.
