Hello.

I have a Dell Latitude D610 Notebook. It has Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 installed on it and the problem is as follows:

I bought a no-brand generic webcam to do v-logs on YouTube. I installed it on the computer yesterday and I noticed that the camera records image but when I record the video and talk into the camera, no sound comes out, and I have the microphone cable of the camera connected to the microphone jack. When I search for the hardware this computer has, I don't know what name the microphone jack is under. I am confused as to why my camera produces no sound, if the microphone jack is not really a microphone jack or if it's the camera that's the problem.

Your help is appreciated.
