Well Donna, I think it's time we admit defeat. Downgrading to version 21 didn't do the trick. Oh well, life goes on!

Donna, I updated FF on 7/16/13. I've rebooted many times since then.

From what I can find, favicons are stored in places.sqlite in your profile folder along with history and such. If places.sqlite gets deleted then the favicon link would be lost.
