I have a lenovo desktop PC and I just installed a new 500GB SATA HDD. There is already another HDD in there that boots to Windows 8. Looking at the system summary in BIOS I can see both hard drives and the CD/DVD drive. When I press F12 to choose from the boot devices, the only device listed is SATA 1 - the HDD with windows 8. I have secure boot disabled. Why can't I boot from the Windows 7 install disc?

Is there another setup screen or selection that allows you to control what devices are eligible to be booted from? Perhaps you need to add the Optical drive in there?

Also, what is the full model number of the PC?

Thank you for the reply. I've managed to find an answer from a user on another forum, I had to enable CSM in the BIOS and now I'm able to boot from the CD: http://www.computerf...tml#post1884923

(also, the complete model number is 10080, and there is an option to exclude/ include devices from boot, but that wasn't the issue).
