I have not done the reboot yet, but this was the original issue that had me start this thread.. what do you suggest to properly remove his so it does not keep adding itself please?

Let MBAM delete them then delete the folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\HDvidCodec.com

I like to use the free VLC for video. It never seems to need codecs. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

Thank you, it was the course of action I would have taken but wanted to be sure - I too use VLC but from memory it needed the codecs for some reason anyways, will do as suggested and thanks again.
