my grandson has had a new lap top for his 17th birthday, it has windows 8 installed and he has purchased office 2013, and although he can download it he cannot open the programme,he desperately needs this for his college work, so we would be very grateful for any advice on fixing this problem, thanks in anticipation,Henry Spooner.

My grandson has now managed to get his office to run, your info was most helpful, sorry for the delay, but my grandson lives in Surrey and I am in Wales, thanks again for all the help, Henry Spooner.
