OK I need you to go into Msconfig again and do the following.

Click the Services tab.
Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
Click Disable All, and then click OK.

This needs to be done in addition to stopping startup items and the list may reveal the culprit as a service.

Then try to boot ya? It was already disabled from before but I redid it.

Ok only ones I needed to stop that weren't stopped already were the startup ones.

Ok still didn't boot but looked closer to booting since the splash screen look normal but went to black screen and intermittent hard drive activity

ok no problem

update about 1hr ago the hard drives spun up for a few minutes then ceased again. It was rather odd.(while still black screened)

Sorry it is late here but I wanted to ask if there is anything at all showing up on the screen during bootup?

I can double check it but I didn't see anything that wasn't normally there. The last time I had it on it was on for almost a day before I finally powered it down because it wasn't going to boot and the activity on the hard drives finally ceased.

What I mean is do you get kind of post screen at all? If not that is not a Windows issue but monitor, motherboard, cpu or some other hardware causing it.

normal bios and post screen then goes to windows splash screen then shortly after that it looks like it will continue to boot but doesn't. Safemode does still work.

Have you tried to boot to the last known good configuration yet?

I can try again it didn't work the last time I tried. Would you like me to try again if so I will try in the morning.
