hanging windows 2000 Pro,Help!

Hello all..... I can't get past loading personal settings(AOL spyware program causing trouble looking for its program I deleted;I saw it in the log file before this happened)I try a boot disk and get the error message missing NTDLR.Anyone with answers???? Thank you for your help!!

Try booting Windows in Last known good...

Press F8 on startup to get Advance Options, and choose Last known good. See if it boots there. If not, post back..

BL Simpson.....I tried both suggestions....I'm holding in safemode stuck at personal settings(password is on automatic so I can not log on as someone else).
Keith my Bios is out of date but not sure about how to up date it....old computer with no Dell support.

not from my chair......can't get in to do anything........thinking of tieing the cord to the hitch on my truck and dragging this thing until it is gone!!!!

I have my 6 startup disks for windows xp and I tried them in my other computer,it worked(windows 2000 pro)but I don't know exactly what to do.
