Update I somehow managed to do what you asked, it took some fiddling around and I had no remove it first from view devices and printers screen then install again then remove from device manager because then it showed up and finished your instructions. It has installed corretly however I cannot print to it as the printer is not in the option to use and under show device and printers page it shows this:



Even when I troubleshoot, it finds nothing amiss.

Sorry, but I must say something to you which is related to your Computer. The Speedfan results are not good! The results say your computer will be the next time a grilled chicken. The temps are much too high (and I mean MUCH too high). The best thing is going to a shop where they can check the CPU heatsink etc. - please do that immediately!

Back to the printer problem:

Remove the Photosmart printer and make the Office Jet to default.

How to make this:

• Open Control Panel
• Go to Hardware and Sound, then to Devices and printers
• Right click on the Photosmart Printer >> select "Remove device"
• Right click on the Office Yet printer >> select make printer to default

I need that printer, it is also used but it is used when this laptop is moved to another location. I don't have a problem with using that printer at all. And until a while ago my 4100 worked just fine as well.

Thanks. I guess I will have to take my computer in then, last time it was doing a similar thing off and on and they said it was normal which ticked me off. Wish I could fix it somehow on here.

I also had to use device manager after removing the d110 from this section to remove it from there as well.

I managed to figure out what was going on, I believe it was my printers USB cable. I uninstalled then reinstalled again using a different usb printer cable and now it is working. lol.

And do I have to worry about registry errors now?

And another question, is my computer always going to be able to pick up if a program/file is infected when I scan it? Is there a better program you would recommend out there?

Yes, so far I didn't overlooked anything.

Which Registry errors? I don't see any "Registry" - Errors in the log.

Nope, no Malwarescanner can detect every Malware. I recommend using Virustotal.com for scanning a .exe etc. file.

As I said before please go to a computer shop to check after the CPU. This is the main issue which we have. At this moment I can only say your computer is clean so far there aren't any other issues. I would be really happy if you could give my a Feedback here - but you don't have to do thus - but it would be really nice to see what I can do better in the next time. What's with MBAM?

Malwarebytes is a very good free scanner! It isn't a one demand scanner so it won't have any problems with your AntiVirus! It would be good if you scan your PC after Malware every 1-2 months (of course with Malwarebytes).
But if you like to uninstall it, then make that:
