hey guys, i am trying to fix my friends computer.
so heres the probleam.

i start the computer, the bios run diognostics.
then it gos to a black screen for a few seconds, then it restarts it self.

i tried running a boot disk but nothing happend.

last resort is format. whitch i really don't want to do.

Hey thanks for your help, but i already went ahead and formated the computer as my friend is in need of it within the next hour.

Question: When i reformated it i had some errors i never seen before. Some of the files went able to be copied. so i skiped them. Will this cause errors later on?

ok next time plz start new topic,

yes this can cause serios errors check disk and harddrive for coruptions- like scraches and bad sectors

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD and get a blue progress bar
