Flash drive not working right in one computer

OK I have 3 thumb drives and 1 sd card that I can not get to work in my HP laptop running windows 7. They all work in my Blue ray player and my net book. I have tried uninstalling all the drives and restarting no luck. The drive shows up but you can not put any thing on it or see what is on it. Now I plug my phone ipod or ipad in and they all work like normal. Any help would be great thanks!
