I have a 2 story house, the modem and my Belkin wireless are on the first floor.
I wanted to hardwire another wireless router(netgear) to the Belkin, so I can have a stronger signal on the second floor.
Huge hassle and not possible for several reasons.

My thought is to get (2) homeplugs, one connecting to each router.....would that be possible?

My thought process is as follows......
Modem to router1(belkin) - router1 to homeplug1 (all on first floor)
homeplug2 to router2 (netgear)all on second floor.

If not possible, any other ideas?
I looked into hacking the routers to boost the signal but I could not find either of my models on the firmware page of either OpenWRT and DD-WRT websites

Have you considered a simple range extender? I've used a few and they seem to work pretty well.
