My PC will not boot up all of the way. When I start my computer which had windows 7 everything seemed to work fine until the windows logo appears and then the computer freezes up.
I connected HD to my other computer with SATA connector with USB and ran Norton Antivirus software 4x and removed some Viruses out of there the first time but I don't remember what they
were called. All other times no viruses were detected.
I have attempted to run scan on HD. Did not work.
I have downloaded the Disk scan tester from the manufactures website and that told me that it failed some critical test but it didn't say what and it told me what option to fix it. I ran
it a second time and it passed.
I backed up all of my data and reformatted the HD and attempted to place windows 8 on the PC and it still got stuck at the windows logo.
I have restored the defaults settings didn't help.
I purchased a new HD in thinking that maybe it had bad sectors or something and a new HD would fix the issue but that was not the case.
I really don't know what the issue would be anymore and I am out of ideas.
