When I start my computer, it freezes at the microsoft loading bar! HELP! I am using a laptop for info help. I have HP desk top with vista home premium. never got a disk for it when I bought computer. I am not a technical type.

Have you tried booting into safe mode, if not try doing so by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key, let us know how you get on.

I shut down modem, computer, and monitor, for about 6 hrs. and restarted all at 6 pm and now I am back online, I would like to thank every one for help!

Glad you got it sorted and thanks for the follow up recon134 :thumbsup:

As you never got a OS disk with the computer consider making a back up image of your HDD for any future use, you can use Macrium Reflect free for this, see here
