Hey there.

Im about to buy a Ram but the question is will it work on my motherboard? Its a: "DDR2 1GB PC2-4200U @444 MHz" Thats all the information i have. And my motherboard is: http://www.msi.com/p...--PCB-1-0-.html

I checked the Memory support and it says "533/667/800" Tho i seen some people on forums where they use 333 Mhz or 444 Mhz etc on the same motherboard and got it working. So will it work? I just wanna be 100% Sure before i buy it.

Thanks!

Hi,

The memory isn't at 444 MHz.

DDR2 1GB PC2-4200U 444

- PC2: is the type of RAM on this case DDR2
- 4200: Speed grade, 533 MHz here, "U" refers to un-buffered memory
- 444: Timings, 4-4-4 (CL,tRCD,tRP)

Gday.
This tool may give you more assurance, giving you the correct memory type that is compatible to your board. You do not have to buy from Crucial,
