The security software I'm currently using are: Avast firewall and scanner, MBAM, MBAM antirootkit, Firefox on addblock plus, Secunia PSI, ESET online scanner, Winpatrol, Ccleaner, Spywareblaster, and ERUNT (not sure if ERUNT is a security program). Do these work together? Are they excessive? What do you think would be good substitutes for any of these programs? I'm thinking about deleting Avast and using Comodo firewall because someone on another forum said Comodo is better than Avast. How can Secunia be as effective as other scanners when it does not run continuously but only when manually opened to scan the system? When I run Secunia PSI it just lists the programs that are updated and the ones that aren't. Does it also scan the system for infections at the same time? Thanks for any replies.
