.Zip files downloading as an internet page not a program

Hi I'm Ben the not so clever when it comes to computers person. I have a problem with downloading some zip files. I need to download this .zip file, but when i go to download it, it tries to save it as an internet page (I think, it has a page with the IE symbol on) and i need it to be a zipped file which i can extract but even if I open the internet page file it opens IE closes it opens it closes it, in a loop so when it closes and before it opens again I have to delete the file and it will stop. Any way I can stop it from downloading as an internet page??? Reply ASAP. Thanks
