Can't finish XP format

Hey guys, i'm still working on the same eMachine, and i haven't been able to do a fully format yet...Everytime i get close it tells me it wants to install some media or wav file it can't find and it leaves like a dropdown menu with the letter of the drive. I'm sure its asking me where the file is and i have no clue. Any help is great

Hi NotalesS. Are you using an Emachines recovery cd or a windows install cd? I understood that format did complete, you are installing and files are being copied. It is looking for one it can't find and then just stops? Can you give the name of the file it is looking for?
