i go to start menu, click on settings, click on network connections and then clickon my isp, I am on a dail up modem them i open my web browser and i am away,

That's what I thought and why it puzzles me.

As you can read here:

Rasphone.pbk is where windows stores the information for the connection.

I wanted to see if there was anything strange in there that might lead us to the malware.

When you rightclick the connection can you check all the details and compare them to what your ISP told you to use?

hello there is a in the connections folder (that has the pbk folder) called downloader it contains 2 files called qmgro.dat and qmgr1.dat i have posted the contents of these two files

Can you move the two you found to another directory?

Then reboot and post a new ProcessGuard log.

Looks good, but there is this ugly feeling at the bottom of my stomach that we have it caged and under control, but not killed and got rid off.

Make sure to check those logs regularly and perform system scans in not too long intervals.

Keep me posted on any special events. I'll leave this thread open, so you can reply at any time and I'll be notified.

hello again i had to replace my mother board as a capacitor was had it but when i hooked up the hard drive to the new board (same as old board) the fun begins again i had to reinstall windows as it would not boot, i have added a hijack log and a pg log for you to look at the computer seems to have slowed again
