I connect from a high traffic network, whether it be broadcasts or other traffic, when I use Wireshark it captures it all. I'm trying to study the connection statistics of specific applications, and I wondered if there was a Wireshark-like application that I can tell to monitor the traffic of a specific application?

I also wanted to know if anyone knows of an application that will show me the source code of the program I'm running? I'm a software development student and I wanted to have some real examples of source, possibly watching it work as a program executes. I know it sounds rather forensic, but your average google search these days doesn't give me much other than porn (is that what google is good for?). Hardy har, happy trails.

Wireshark is possibly your best solution if you know the ports that the application(s) uses; you can set up filters to only look at traffic over those ports.

As to watching a program execute, try something like Olly Debug.
