Great resources you have here. I used codeacademy myself and it's amazing.
Writing Staff
Start with Code Academy, you will get the basics.
Do not make a website from scratch. Use a Content Management Systems like Wordpress. You can custom your codes there. Google what all the codes mean there. You will learn a lot. Use Mozilla Goggles to discover how websites are made. I think this is the most time effective way to learn more than just HTML/CSS.

http://www.simplehtmlguide.com/ -- is a simple place to get HTML with a comfortable cheat-steet.
You'd also speed up your studying if you combine all this info advised with practice -- make yourself a simple site on some free hosting like wordpress.com and play with it -- you'll pick up lots of knowledge and skill from it
