The CoolWebSearch spyware seems to have a mind of its own... I am unable to use Internet Explorer without getting popups etc, and I have a new toolbar in IE telling me to choose between categories such as Gambling, Internet and Adult.
I'm not touching the option on the left side that says Remove Toolbar...
A couple of days ago i got a message on my screen asking me if I wanted to learn how to protect myself. I said yes, and [bleep] broke loose.
Thank you so much in advance for all help, I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, Norton Antivirus, Spysubtract and CWShredder with no result. By the way CWShredder seems unable to update itself from the internet... It downloads something, but still tells me it needs to be updated. I use two computers, so is there a way I can update CWShredder on the (so far) well-behaving computer and transfer it to my infected laptop?
I'm getting frustrated, and my lack of knowledge on the subject makes me feel less like a man.
