yes im running windows vista home premium sp2,2gb of memory,don't know what other info people help would need,im into my 6th year of self learning our computer era.Well i still lack alot of experience on this topic but i recieved a BSOD on the original HD that came with my pc which is a Emachines T3646.Well i got the BSOD and then i restarted the pc and now all i get and see is just a gray blank screen,with pc running but no keys on board will do anything or mouse movement too,now at this time i've learned that i should have wrote down what the screen stated to possibly fix the culprit but did not.........can any geek from all you professional's here give me a push or helping hand on this? and is it best practice to run a 2nd pc while trying to fix matter's as this to better knowledge myself?  Thank You GEEKS TO GO! Can you boot into Safemode?

 

Tap the F8 key repeatedly during boot-up.

First of all, focus on what the Stop Error Code is referring to when the Blue Screen appears, so we can identify the cause of the issue. Second, what happens when you force restart your computer when the gray blank screen appears? Does it loop to the same BSOD error or can you continue with your Desktop again? BSOD has a lot of causes. To know more about how to resolve it, see:

Also, you can try to insert your Windows Repair disk and run the repair. See if it can fix the problem.
