I finally upgraded to a newer computer, but I have no Idea about wifi routers or hotspots. I'd like to be able to use whatever I get to be able to play MMORPG's online, as well as using facebook and a few other internet options. I would prefer it to be just for the house, and I'd like some advice as to what type I should be shopping for. I'd also take some recommendations as to an affordable plan if I need one.

Buy a Linksys wifi router. They are good but more expensive - around 50 usd

TPLink or Netgear cost around 20 dollar at Amazon.

If your house is big, ask for high-power one -- like 200milliwatt or even 400. -- they cost more

and make sure it supports a/b/g/n standards -- don't need to go into it, just a decent modern router should support that
