I purchased a hp pavillion laptop 15 e026 ax with AMD A10 4600 APU processor, 8gb RAM, 1 tb hdd, AMD radeon HD 7660G+8600M in march 2014 and I am using Windows 8 (64 bit) with it. Everything was fine until a week ago I noticed that while playing a video file in VLC and KM Player, sometimes the video freezes at a frame but the audio keeps playing just fine. The frame remains frozen until any key on the keyboard is pressed or the mouse-button is clicked. This is a very irritating problem. Can anyone please help me solve this problem?

Before we can help you need to provide the following so I can start you in the right direction.

  • What steps have you taken so far to resolve the issue

Download Autoruns from the link in my signature below:

1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
2: Double-click the  "Autoruns.exe".
3: Click on the "Everything" tab
4: Click the Options at the top of the Window. In the new little window click the box that states Hide Microsoft Services
5: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.
6: Save the file as AutoRuns.txt file instead of the default .arn to a known location like your Desktop.
7: Attach to your next reply.
8: DO NOT do anything till we have had a chance to study the log and reply with suggestions as to what to remove.

Are you still having problems with your issue?
It has been 28 days since your last response and I was wondering if the issue has been resolved?
If so can you explain how it was resolved so others may be able to fix it if they have the same issue.
If not please let us know and we can continue with helping you to resolve the issue.
