I am trying to restore my computer to the factory settings but it wont let me .. I am getting error messages when I try to reinstall the OS

X:\windows\system32\stregistry64.dll contains an error or not designed to run on windows, and above that it says winrelauncher.exe bad image.

Is there a fix for this? Thank you

Are you using a Dell recovery partition on the HDD or are you using a recovery or Windows 7 OS disk or USB stick.

If from disk or thumb drive from where was the media obtained as in a full retail or OEM disk, a back up disk that you have made or a downloaded ISO etc.
