I am about to give up, I don’t know what’s wrong with my laptop. The bios loads up but nothing happens after that? The screens just goes black, I was told that it was my hard drive so I replace it nothing!!! After some research I found a person with the same problem on a Google group, and I was told to reinstall the O/S. I try but I can’t see anything pass the Bios Screen...Do you guys have any clues about what to do for the problem...I have a Dell Inspirion 8200...

Thank much...

If you have anything connected with USB Leads, remove them and see if it starts

Boot the PC then keep tapping the F8 key to see if it goes beyond the BIOS screen to give you the options screen, if so, choose last known good configuration

If you get the options but it will not load last known good configuration, slect safe mode with command prompt, the run this procedure

If this does not run, try here and run Windows Installation CD to repair the current installation
