Ok, thanks for responding. Sorry I did not get back to you sooner.
I was in and out of the hospital for a while and missed your message.
Yeah, my PC is old, but unfortunately I can't do much about that at the moment.
Belarc Adviser tells me that I have 2.0 GB of Ram. Can I steal any extra 'virtual memory' from my harddrive?
I have about 75GB of available memory out of a 120GB SATA drive.
I do not have a slotted graphics card. It is part of the Intel D915GAG (J2E1) motherboard.
Graphics: SyncMaster on Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family.
I do, however, have room to plug in a graphics card if necessary (if available). Currently I have a wireless network card plugged in, but I no longer need it.
Did I have Netflix running properly in IE8? The answer is Yes, I was previously watching Netflix just fine, just a little slow loading sometimes but tolerable.
IE8 is still loaded but running only in the background. It is not available to check Netflix now, and I do not know how to bring it out of retirement, anyway.
I do have Microsoft Silverlight, latest version, installed.
I was not aware, until now, of a Silverlight plug-in for FireFox.
I just assumed that the Silverlight program worked for all browsers. But I can certainly try to install it.
Note that I am new to FireFox. Not used to all the buttons and menus yet.
Thanks
