*Cries* ;) Ok, I have no idea what's going on. I keep having more and more problems with my computer. :tazz:

All of a sudden I can not left-click with my mouse. I don't know how to explain it, it just doesn't acknowledge my mouse when I use the left button. I can right-click and I can use the keyboard a little, but it's also really slow all of a sudden. It was letting me use the keyboard, but only a little, so I can't really get around. I tried to start a virus scan, but I wasn't able to navigate enough with the right mouse button and the keyboard to get it going. I also restarted twice, and it's still doing that. I went to the mouse settings and they look normal, but I can only view the first section, so I don't know about the rest. I wasn't doing anything before this started that seems like it would've caused this. (I'm using a different computer right now.) I tried to google for what to do, but I can't find anything. I hope this is the right place to post.

I'm also having some other problems that I posted about this morning, here: http://www.geekstogo...ted-t33780.html - I'm still waiting for a response and my topic is already at the bottom of the ninth page. :tazz: I just thought I would mention it here in case they are related. I have been working so hard to fix my computer and instead it is getting worse. ;)

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this and give me any tips. I would really appreciate it. I'm so lost. ;)

:tazz: I guess all I can do is wait, then. I feel so helpless. I can't believe this; I have no idea where it came from.
Thanks for responding.

I'm not doing anything and things keep getting worse. I'm afraid if I have to wait much longer it will do damage I can't undo. I just saw how many people are still waiting for replies in the malware forum and how long it took some of the people who got replies to get them. I'm not blaming anyone; I realize people help on their own time and there are a lot of people who need help. I'm just worried the damage will become ireversible if it keeps getting worse on it's own the way it has been. Can anyone recommend any other forums or some place where I can find out what to do? Thanks so much.

Thank you. I have a program called GoBack. It let me revert to two days ago. I'm not sure when all the problems started, but I know my mouse was still working at the time it reverted to. Unfortunately, it isn't working still, even after I reverted it. Does XP come with its own restore program that I just don't know about? Maybe it would let me go back further? Thanks.

yes xp does come with it's own restore
but if you use go back you can go back further then 2 days
I use go back.
Are all the other things working ok now you have gone back ?
if your keyboard is working do you know how to get to the mouse control in control panel? try switching to left hand mouse and this will change the buttons over. it may be as simple as your mouse is dying and the button is faulty I have had this on many computers at work

The furthest it would let me go back was two days. I didn't think of switching the buttons, thanks for the idea. It turns out I needed to clean my mouse. :tazz: It just so happened that I had problems with my mouse at the same time as I'm having problems with malware, so I thought they were connected. Now I can focus on the malware or whatever is causing my other problems. Thanks for your help with this part of it. ;)
