Hi,

I have been recently experiencing problem of no internet connection. I have tried winsock but with no help. I am posting the log below. One of the main problems is that destination IP is 0.0.0.0.

Sorry phybyr0ptyk for not clearing to you that I have already followed the directions in the link. But considering that I have no internet connection as of now I have not been able to update my softwares. So if you could suggest some help on just the log, it would be very helpful.

Hello, c85rie, and welcome to Geeks To Go. Please do not follow the advice I have edited out of this post. I sincerely apologize that you were not given complete information, and I assure you it will not happen again.

I am assuming that you are using another pc to connect to the internet to post to us. You have a very OLD version of HijackThis on that pc. I need you to download and use the new version, as it is better able to help us find the problems on your machine!

The first thing we need to tackle is to get you updated to the newest version of HijackThis. Please go Here and download the newest version 1.99.1. Please be sure to save it to a permanent directory, such as C:\Prgram Files\HJT.

Also, you DO have an LSP problem that may very well be causing you to have no internet connection.


A malicious .DLL file is disrupting the LSP chain on your computer. We need to get rid of it.

1. Please download LSPFix from here.
2. Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
3. Check the I know what I'm doing box.
4. In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of osmim.dll
5. Select every instance of osmim.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
6. When you are done click Finish>>.

You also have New.Net installed on that infected pc, which can ALSO interfere with your internet connection. Please go to Start>Control Panel>Add and Remove Programs and UNinstall New.Net (or New Dot Net) and then reboot the machine.

After you have done the above, please get me a fresh HJT log and post it here in a reply. You have a lot of other malware on that pc, and I will help you get it cleaned up!

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel(if present):

FLN (or maybe called FLA or Flash Enhancer)
Please note any other programs that you dont recognize in that list in your next response

Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer(if present):

2. Download the Host Here
Please do not use program yet


Open up the Host program.

• Make sure that the "make hosts writable?" button in the upper right corner is enabled.
• Click back up Host files
• then click Restore orginal host files
• close program

3. Download: DelDomains.inf
Should the link above display the text instead of downloading the file, then copy & paste the text into notepad and save the file as DellDomains.inf
To use: right-click and select: Install (no need to restart)

4. Please download CleanUp! and run it to remove any leftover remnants of infection. Click the CleanUp button, and let it scan and select any files it needs to remove. Once it is done, exit the program.

5. After all the above is complete, please post a reply here with a fresh HijackThis log taken AFTER the steps are done!

Here I have followed all the steps and am placing the new hijack file. However I did not find FLN or Fla in control panel removal section instead there was a flash tracker uninstall program. Any idea what I should do?

Looking much better! Let's get the rest of it, ok?

Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

• Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.
• Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.
• Select "Delete on Reboot".
• Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

• Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
• Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

After it reboots, open HJT and scan for a log. Place a check next to the following line if it is still there:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: mad.dll

Click "fix selected" and reboot again, then post a fresh HJT log here for review!
