Everyone has their favorite Apps.

What are 6 Apps. that you just think you have to have. Here are mine. I have several, but these I use a lot!

1Search Everything

2CCleaner

3Revo Uninstaller

4Belarc Advisior

5ERUNT gui

6Speedfan

When I get ready to uninstall a program, there isn't much left after I use Revo Uninstaller and Search Everything. I differently would not even think of not having Macrium Reflect to back up my OS at least once a month. As far as all those snake oil programs that claim they will make your PC run like brand new(won't mention any names  );you can have them. They cause more trouble than any good. No registry cleaners for this old man. Been there, done that. I have learned better.

PS I'm really enjoying the forum!

Search Everything have not heard of this, i tried finding it on the internet, have a link for it ?

Thought saw something called Everything Search.

True Revo Uninstaller is one of the best Uninstallers out there i have Revo Pro 3.8.,but does not get all of it uninstalled.

CCleaner i use regularly, but some on this forum may dislike it, but it does a good job of cleaning.

It seems no program completely removes everything on cleaning, you have to know where to look and as mentioned on your Program Search Everything.

True Registry cleaners are dangerous unless you really know what you are doing, plus most of the times what they find is not going to harm the PC if left.

I found TreeSize to be a good application to find where HD space is being taken from and being able to get a better view of files on system by date and size.

Speedfan is good for certain diagnostics, but do not like it too much to have on system.

One Program i do use and like is AIDA64, has a lot of features.Speccy has some similiarities too.

I backup everything on External Drives and mainly use System Restore points, have Windows 8.1 Pro which has refresh and reset.

Great learning experience here and to help others in need.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. You can find Search Everything here. I guarantee you will love it. It will take awhile to load, not long. Them just start typing what you're searching for. If you have a external drive plugged in, it will even search it. Great freeware!

Hello!

Now that you have all these great programs, why not learn how to use the programs that are in W7 and W8.

Reliability Monitor

PSR This is a great program that goes unused by Geeks all over the help forums.

Two great Windows programs just setting there and not being used. That's sad! :yeah: I use them!!

I recently discovered Reliability Monitor.  Nice program which is good to see a timeline of events broken down by day or week time periods.
