OK. So that's a name-changer :tazz:

I hope you haven't rebooted yet.

*In the killbox program, select the Delete on Reboot option.
*Copy the file name below to the Full Path to File to Delete:
c:\windows\system32\kgrjyk.exe
*Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

After the reboot check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [tquhgba] c:\windows\system32\kgrjyk.exe r

O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - c:\windows\SvcProc.exe

Click Start > Run type services.msc > OK
In the list of services find:
System Startup Service (SvcProc)
Rightclick that line and choose Properties.
On the General tab Stop and set the service to disabled.
In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the dialog box paste: SvcProc

And disable Active Desktop:

Keep us posted on your progress.

Can you see there is a new one with the loose "r" behind the line?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [efgsro] c:\windows\system32\qbxnjp.exe r

When you read this make a HijackThislog and find the new filename.

Then in HijackThis click Config > MIsc Tools > "Delete a file on reboot" and show HijackThis the way to that file.

In the last log that would have been: c:\windows\system32\qbxnjp.exe

Let the computer reboot when prompted to and post a new log.

OK.

This is the one to do that procedure on:
c:\windows\system32\mxsrcb.exe

Run HijackThis and click Config > Misc Tools > Delete a file on reboot.

Show it the way to c:\windows\system32\mxsrcb.exe and select that file

You will be prompted if you want to reboot. Click yes

After the reboot post a new log.

Very frustrating this.

Two things to give me something to think about tomorrow.

Surf to http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and have this file checked:
c:\windows\system32\wpsuwb.exe

Let me know the results.

Also make a HijackThis log in safe mode and post that one as well.

Check your HijackThis log.

There will be a new line between
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
and
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe

that will have the funny looking separate r behind it.

That is the file we are looking for. It just has a new name.
