I just reinstalled windows xp on my computer. After I installed it everything was working fin until i noticed I had no sound. The device manager doesn't even detect a soundcard, but I know i have one on there because i have been using this computer for years and getting sound no problem and I haven't removed anything, however, i forgot what sound card I have and I dont' have any system restore cds. The worst part is that when I tried to restart my computer, it would get to the black windows xp screen with the little green bar flashing across the bottom, then it would flicker and just remain complely black and not respond to anything. The only way that this doesn't happen is if I boot my computer in safe mode. Help Please!
