About three weeks ago I had my Windows XP Pro cleaned and formatted and re-installed.  I noticed that it seems to be a different build for Windows XP and that Windows Picture Manager doesn't come with this particular version.  I do have Windows Fax Viewer, but not WPManager.  Is there a way I can download this particular application.  I used to use it to compress my pictures for emailing.  I am using GMail and I don't believe there is a compression application with it.  I do have 7-zip on my computer whereas before I had winrar.

Pls advise

regards

Hi,

Make sure you have the same Microsoft Office version installed as before or you have to follow the suggestions on this link.

This is all well and good but the version of XP that I have is not 2013 but 2007, so where does that leave me?

I was curious. Pretty straight forward.

1. Put the Office 2007 CD in the optical drive.

2. Run setup.exe from the optical drive.

3. Select Add or Remove features.

4. Expand Office Tools

4. Click the arrow by Microsoft Office Picture Manager and select Run from my computer.

5. Click Continue and it will be installed. It will show up under Microsoft Office Tools under Microsoft Office.

Sorry for response delay.  I have to procure Program Disc for Office 2007 from technician who did re-install.  Will update when ready.

I have tried operation as you have described but this is Office Enterprise 2007 and Microsoft Office Picture Manager is not on list,  so I think its a question of doing without it or re-installing Office 2003.  What do you think?

I'd say do without and find a replacement.

IrfranView is also free and will compress pictures. I use it so I can add pictures to my Scout Troop website.

I have Office 2007 Enterprise also, did you check inside Office Tools?
