I tried to be good and follow all the steps on the "start here" section but couldn't get past CleanUp. I ran Cleanup, rebooted, then my internet connection wouldn't work. So I used System Restore and now have my internet back but I assume I have all the temp folders back too? When I install a program to get rid of viruses and stuff I can never run them. The icons appear, I click them, and nothing happens. Obviously, I have problems here. My Windows updates have been turned off and I can't turn them on. I would love to just throw the entire computer in the garbage.

So what do I run that will clean up my computer but not interfere with my internet connection?

Please help!

I couldn't get past the "CleanUp" section of the:

"You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log"

I need to do all those steps first, then do a log, right? Well, I can't even finish the first step!

Where should I be posting this? Obviously this is not the right forum.

I just want my computer to run properly. I'm just trying to follow the rules. I went to "start here" and tried to do the steps involved.
