For a notebook (mine is Compaq Presario), what mode do you think is best to leave it in overnight, or for many hours, say 8, at a time? What about 24 hrs? The fan pushes alot of hot air when it is on!! My last laptop fried!! Thanks to all who answer! (any technical paper links greatly appreciated also)....

keeping on can damage small micro circuits as heat buildup is there........so it's best to giv ur PC rest.......okay...
