I use the excellent Belarc utility to check my Win XP configuration, and for some time this has advised me that I need to update Flash Player to 14.0.0.176.  My browser is Firefox and this shows my installed Flash update to be 15.0.0.89.

Do I need to take any action?

Hi Cynic,

Adobe Flash should be set to alert you of updates, check the flash player in control panel. Newest version i have in Firefox is 15.0.0.152

In Firefox go to addons, from the menu bar in Firefox, under Tools, Select addons, go to the Plugins page and at the top will be a  Blue underlined saying "Check to see if Plugins are up to date ", click that and on next page scroll down to Shockwave Flash if it says out of date or needs update, check for the update, click it.
