A co-worker gave me his non-working XP HP widescreen laptop. When I turn the computer on I get a NTLDR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. The co-worker did not have the installation disks so I downloaded a Win XP ISO and created a recovery disk with ImgBurn. I changed the boot order to CD first and when I started the computer, it went thru the setup. I pressed R to repair using Recovery Console. The next screen asks which Windows installation would you like to log onto. The only one listed is 1: C:\Windows. I entered 1 and all I got was the C:\WINDOWS> (cursor)
That got me nowhere so I restarted again this time I pressed enter to set up Windows XP. It went thru the setup and got the Setup cannot find the End User Licsensing Agreement (EULA). Setup cannot continue. Anyone have any other suggestions?
