I have tried everything I can think of at this point, including your recomendations.

When I try to connect to the internet through my Yahoo DSL w/ explorer, about.blank comes up, then is redirected to updatesearches.com - I am able to go to some websights (oddly enough, not Yahoo) but eventually I usually get redirected to updatesearches again. I am actually connected using an aol account right now.

I attempted to change my homepage - it would just jump back. I cleaned all my temp internet files.

When I attempt to shut my system down, I get error messages saying that certain programs are still running - msole32.exe & shnlog.exe -DLL programs

I also got another message a few days ago
Microsoft Internet explorer Browser 4.0 Spyware details "stealthSWS114.h!dll Ver 4.442as18a access port # 33299

I have since run ADware SE, CWShredder & TDS-3
adware finds 13 items every time I run it since this problem first appeared.

I attempted to DL the latest updates from Microsoft to no avail. Error 0x8024402C
I tried to DL the service pack 1, but it requires an internet connection to finish the download & was not recognizing AOL. I believe it may be because it was trying to connect through explorer.

My firewall (Zone Alarms) also gets a number of generic host processes Win32 servics attempting to connect to the internet.

Anyways.. here's my log from hijack this
