I have a Toshiba laptop, with Windows 8.1.  I had crashes and problems after connecting Blue Tooth via an adapter and had to do

refresh and restore etc.  The adapter proved to be faulty and was replaced.  However, now when I switch on I get a fairly quick response

up to login; but then the screen blanks for up to three minutes and then loads normally.  I have used the AIO, both in safe and normal modes; defragged and used various programs in an effort to clean up. I am

looking in Process Hacker at the moment but it has me perplexed.

I would appreciate any ideas you chaps might have.

Regards, Cigos

Much obliged. Thankyou.  I have printed out a copy for future reference.

Unfortunately I had to return to factory settings in order to move on, so I

have been busy since yesterday recreating.  I had a recovery drive for

such an emergency which the computer recognised but the repair

system would not, alas.       Happy days!

Thanks again, Cigos
