Hello.. I have no idea what I'm doing.. downloaded NIS 2005 and then went through the registration process and the configuration section started and seems to have frozen. I get this pop up everytime and then it just freezes wether I choose yes or no:
*************
An error has occurred on the script on this page

Line 42
Char 3
Error Object doesn't support this property or method
Code 0
URL res://C:\Program%20Files\Norton%20Internet%20Security\CfgWzRes.dll/Configuration.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
yes no

*********************
So a) why do I get this and what shld I click?
and b) why does it then hang in this configuration mode ..if I try to do something a pop up comes up with:
Another instance of the Configuration Wizard is running

but I can't find anything....

HELP please

hi jacinta,
you get this message if the IE scripts have been corrupted on the system.
you can try the following steps and see if it works.
download and run symnrt.exe from
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_...sgen/SymNRT.exe
this will remove NIS 2005 off your system.
restart the system.download and install windows script 5.6 from
http://www.microsoft...../scripten.exe
restart the system.
reinstall nis 2005.
post if this works!
