Yes under other devices are:-

Multimedia audio controller

PCI Simple Communications Controller 

SM Bus Controller

USB Device

 

All have yellow exclamation marks on them.

Alright, you still have the the document with the information about your computer right? Can you find the audio card/audio name? Also, download and install these drivers:

It only says dimension 4600 P4 3.0GHz/512k (533FSB) Integrated Audio and NIC Altec Lansing ADA215 Speakers

Alright then. Try to download and install these drivers for your audio:

If they don't work, let me know.

I've done it but I don't have any speakers attached at the moment, will need to find them.

 

The page and everything is still large.

The audio is now working. 

 

I'm still having a bit of a problem as the internet occasionally drops out and says the browser is out of date.

Because the browser is out of date. Are you still on Windows XP SP1?
