Hi joseph :)

You are supposed to open .m files with the program "Matlab", which is an "IDE" for the Mathlab programming language.

http://www.mathworks...roducts/matlab/

You need to open the program, then run the file inside it.

Let's start from the beginning :) To run this script, you'll need the program "Matlab".

Do you have this program? It's a paid program, and only a trial is available for free.

Alright, once this is done, here's a little documentation that might help you understand what to do with the Matlab program that .m file you are trying to run.

http://www.mathworks...b/ref/open.html - To open the file
http://www.mathworks...ab/ref/run.html - To run the file

Apparently, there's a free open-source software that can also run .m scripts and it's Scilab:

http://www.scilab.org/en/scilab/about

The download page is here:

http://www.scilab.or.../download/5.5.1

If you have Windows 32-bits, you'll download Scilab 5.5.1 - 32-bit Windows, else if you have Windows 64-bits you'll download Scilab 5.5.1 - 64-bit Windows.

Right-click on the .m file, and select Open with... then click on Select default program. From there, browse to the Scilab executable file and select it to open the file with Scilab.

If you follow the instructions I gave you in the precedent post, you'll be able to change the default program for .m files to Scilab :)

It's loading the environment for the program to open. Depending on your computer specs, it can take a few minutes so give it time :)
