HI,

I'm having problems removing malware off this computer. I have loaded adware and it's the only program i can seem to update. I also tried Spybot, wouldn't allow me to update. Norton hasn't updated. I tried housecall as well, and nothing would load..... Please Help...

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Nailfix from here:

Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Please download "Del Domain" from here:
http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=40
Download it to your desktop or somewhere you will find it. Extract the .inf file from the .zip file you just downloaded. We will use this file later when we are in safemode.


Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Now right click "Deldomains.inf" and click "Install". It will not appear to have done anything, thats ok. Next step.

Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

Hi Justin,

sorry it took so long to get back to you. I wasn't able to get back over to my friends computer sooner. But here you go. The massive pop-ups have stopped, but it's stil running pertty slow and loading very slow.

Let me know also after running ewido (in safe mode) and rebooting windows normaly it found infected files??

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present):

c:\windows\system32\epsgso.exe r

After that, Reboot.

Then post a new HiJackThis log for me to look at
