So the scenario is, I just built my first rig with 2 SATA hard
drives, 80Gb and 160GB. I've successfully installed win xp
pro onto the 80GB drive (which I formatted during the install).
Now I'm looking to format the 160gb drive but can't seem to
find a way to do it. Ive tried the disk manager, right clicked
on the drive but there is no option to format (only option are
to convert to dynamic, properties, and help). so my question is...
how do I format this second drive.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. In disk management, there are two windows. The bottom one is probably the one you are looking at. Do you "see" the new drive in the upper window? If it is there, just right click on it and select format.
