Please don't try this with regular USB cables.  USB ports supply power to devices and you will probably burn out one or both USB ports.  You could also damage one or both power supplies.  There are USB cables that can do this but they are special cables. You need one like this here, it's called a USB BRIDGE cable. I have not tried to use one myself so I can't tell you how they work.
