Berullium,

Welcome to the GTG Forums, I will be reviewing your HJT log.
Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

IMPORTANT:
First you are running HJT from a temporary directory. Please create a folder on your C:\ drive and rename it something you will remember, such as C:\HJT. Then move HijackThis.exe to that folder and run it from that location from now on.
HJT creates backups with are needed in case of recovery issues.

Once you have done this please follow these instructions in the order they are posted.

Download CleanUp
Install the program, dont run it yet, we will later.

Download CWShredder
And save it to your desktop.
Close all open browser windows and any other open windows.

Install CWShredder, then:

Open CWShredder and click Check for Updates
Then click "FIX"
Once the the program has finished running, click exit.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.tiny.com

O2 - BHO: Interface Object - {58F07DD3-924D-4141-BC74-299F523A95F1} - C:\WINDOWS\pxwma.dll

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.tiny.com

O16 - DPF: {33331111-1111-1111-1111-611111193457} - file://c:\ex.cab
O16 - DPF: {33331111-1111-1111-1111-611111193458} - file://c:\ex.cab

O21 - SSODL: SystemCheck2 - {54645654-2225-4455-44A1-9F4543D34545} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll (file missing)

Close all browsers and open windows except HJT, then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Enable show hidden files and folders:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Using Windows Explorer find and remove the following folders/files if present:
C:\WINDOWS\pxwma.dll <-- File
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll <-- File

Start CleanUp
When CleanUp starts go to the Options button (right side of CleanUp screen)
Uncheck cookies
This is optional, if you leave the box checked it will remove all of your cookies, at this point removing cookies is a good idea.
Click OK
Then click on the CleanUp button. This will take a short while, let it do its thing.
When asked to reboot system select No
Close CleanUp

Reboot and post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

Berullium,

We need to clean some items up.

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

IMPORTANT:
Close "ALL" browsers and open windows for this part of the fix.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to the following items.

O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.tiny.com

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{255957FF-6189-4228-9696-446EDEFDAFCB}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{37F3E9C9-A0EB-4717-AB74-FF6513316A15}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{5CBD6123-8C3E-4D64-B00E-B37FE62A00F7}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{7781A1C2-EFDD-4912-9CD7-DA5894CAE6BB}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{8803D77C-346C-42B3-99D9-E88E2EE6E626}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{B1005D5F-77BF-4933-B939-D0DF51D22DB9}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{255957FF-6189-4228-9696-446EDEFDAFCB}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84,195.225.176.37

Now with HJT click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Reboot your system and do the following:

Run CWShredder and click Fix

Then run this online scan (using Internet Explorer)
You will have to select the auto-fix option prior to scanning, it should be a selection box on the screen.

Panda ActiveScan

Post back the Active Scan log and a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

Hello again. I did what you said, but i cannot get the active scan log file as everytime i'm on the internet and the scan finishes, the window goes straight to a [bleep] site screen. I tried it 3 times but to no avail. not sure if its supposed to have been cleared yet, but my favourites menu has lots of links to [bleep] sites, poker rooms and "anti-spyware" sites. I havent clicked on them, but every time i try to delete them they just come back after i reboot the PC. Anyway, heres is my new hjt report:

Berullium,

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis Log, as well as the Ewido Scan Log by using Add Reply

Thanks,
rstones12

Berullium,
OK, thanks for the logs. We have a few things left to do.

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

Please download WinHelp2002's DelDomains by right-clicking on the following link, and choosing "Save Target As":
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf
  • Save the file to the desktop.
Enable show hidden files and folders:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Do not open any windows for this part of the fix except HJT.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

O9 - Extra button: Start spyware remover - {BF69DF00-2734-477F-8257-27CD04F88779} - C:\Program Files\WareOut\WareOut.exe (file missing) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Start spyware remover - {BF69DF00-2734-477F-8257-27CD04F88779} - C:\Program Files\WareOut\WareOut.exe (file missing) (HKCU)

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://awbeta.net-nucleus.com (HKLM)

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{620DBE98-BBB5-41B6-9A97-AF0568AF5353}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84 195.225.176.37

With no open windows except HJT click on the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Now using Windows Explorer find and remove the following folders/files if present.
C:\Program Files\WareOut\ <-- Folder

Now lets run DeleteDomains
  • Then go to the desktop, right click on DelDomains.inf, and choose Install.
  • You may not see any noticeable changes or prompts; this is normal.
  • Restart your computer,
Once your compter has booted back into Normal Mode run the CleanUp program.

Reboot once again and do the following:

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...=post&id=142443
  • Create a new folder on your desktop
  • Unzip/extract the files inside that folder you created on your desktop.
  • Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It may take awhile so please be patient ...
  • Then post the results here along with a new HJT log by using Add Reply
Thanks,
rstones12

Berullium,

OK, you have one that keeps returning, lets get to it.

Please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to the following item:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{620DBE98-BBB5-41B6-9A97-AF0568AF5353}: NameServer = 69.50.184.84 195.225.176.37

Close all windows except HJT, then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Now lets check some settings on your system.
  • Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections
  • Then right click on your Default Connection
    • Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
  • Left click on Properties
  • Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
  • Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
  • Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks
Make sure to reboot and post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

Hello! Everything "seems" to be working correctly, even my hotmail email address now works again. If this is the end, Thank you very much for your help. I wont get too excited yet, I will wait for tomorrow before opening the champers! Cheers.
