No problem. Good night. There's another way.

Just attach the most recent log that begins with MBAM from the following location.

C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\Logs

Perfect, thanks. I see you are using the older version of Malwarebytes (v2.00.4.1028) and the instructions I was providing were assuming you downloaded and installed the new version (v2.1.4.1018) so sorry for the confusion.

OK, last thing we need to do is get your Antivirus working.

1. Click your start button.

2. Type Action and click on Action Center that comes up.

3. Let me know if your screen looks like below.

OK, click the Turn On button for the one that says Virus Protection first. Then click the Turn On button for the other one. Let me know if you get any errors.

To do a screen shot and show in your post please do the following.

1. Click your Start button and type snip.

2. You will see the Snipping Tool. Click on this.

3. Click the New button on the Snipping Tool.

4. Now you can draw a rectangle over the area that you want to screen shot. You start at the top left of where you want to start the capture and hold down your mouse button and then drag to the lower right of what you want to capture and then let go.

5. Then you can save this screen shot to your desktop or wherever you wish. (Just remember the location).

6. The you can attach the file like you have been previously.

OK thanks. Let's see what's going on. Please do the following.

Step#1 - Retrieve Event Log Messages
1. Download Event Viewer Tool  by Vino Rosso to your Desktop
2. Right-click on the file (VEW.exe) and select Run as administrator.
3. Check the options as shown below and put 20 in for the number of events.
4. Click Run. After a few moments, notepad will open with the contents of the Event Logs. Please copy and paste these in your next post. Thank you.

Thank you. It definitely looks like you have some damage that needs to be resolved.

Please follow the steps below.

Step#1 - FRST Fix/Clear Event Logs
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop. Attached File  fixlist.txt   82bytes   160 downloads
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Step#2 - Services Check
1. Please download Farbar Service Scanner to your desktop.
2. Make sure that ALL the options are checked:
3. Press "Scan".
4. It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
5. Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Items for your next post

1. FRST Fix Log

2. FSS Log
