Hello,

I tried to do a system restore today and I got an error hard disk not found 3f0

I chose complete restore from the menu and when it restarted that is what happened.

I did a quick scan and it said no problems with the hard drive. Its an hp 2000-2b29wm laptop.

any idea how to do my restore?

Thanks in advance

You did all four steps?

Step 1: Restore BIOS default settings

Step 2: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI

What was the results?

If couldn't test it, did you try

Step 3: Reseat the hard drive

And then

Step 4: Perform an HP System Recovery

?

If nothing works, sounds like the hard drive is dead and needs to be replaced.

Yes I did it all. Would the hard disk be dead even though it passed both tests?
