I've tried playing HD videos on it with VLC media player and I notice there's no graphics glitches
That's what I was hoping after running the chkdsk. Is there any other issues you need assistance with?

No you misunderstood me,I played HD videos using VLC media player on Puppy Linux, not on Windows VIsta.I was just checking if the error will exist if I run a video under Linux since im using it already to backup files.
OK, at this point I'm certain you don't have Malware and that it is a software conflict of some sort. What I recommend is post an inquiry in our Windows 7 forum and let them know that you have been cleared from the Malware removal forum. The experts there have more knowledge on these things than many of us in this forum. I'll leave you with some clean-up info. Sorry we couldn't resolve your issue here but at least your machine is clean.
1. Clean Up!
We need to remove all the tools that we used so that should you ever be re-infected, you will download updated versions which may have updated detection logic.
1. Download Delfix from here.
2. Ensure everything is checked.
3. Click Run.
Note: The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Please paste the log in your next reply.
Note: Delete any other .bat, .log, .reg, .txt, and any other files created during this process, and left on the desktop and empty the Recycle Bin.
